Flaming Gorge
Cory's family all got together for a family trip this past Wednesday-Saturday. I have wanted to spend time on the Green River since I first came out here to school and finally got to float down part of it on our trip, even Winter went down on the raft. We only went for Friday and Saturday but that was enough time to camp and enjoy the water. Friday night after our river riding we eat Dave's Delight (potatoes, ham, bacon, cheese, onions) and talked out by the fire. Saturday morning the kids got up early with Grandpa and went fishing in the lake. That afternoon we all went cliff jumping. Yes, even prego me jumped off a little cliff. I just went off like a six foot one, it was kiddy size and just right for everyone to warm up on. Some of the guys, including Cory, went off a really high one that was probably 35+ feet high. It was a great trip.

Garden Update
Tomatoes

Cory has done an amazing job taking care of the garden. He has done the majority (ok 90%) of the work. I am pretty useless being prego out in the heat.

Corn

Beans

Squash

Pride and Joy, an actual fruit from the labor!

Squash and zucchini plants

Hot peppers

Winter likes to garden too. Here she is helping by moving dirt around. Too bad it is mostly going on the sidewalk mom just swept. And she is getting dirty after getting all cleaned up in the bath, yes that is dirt on her face.

Lagoon Amusement Park
For $5 we couldn't pass up the chance to take Winter to Lagoon. Thank goodness it was only $5. There were only three rides she could go on and it was blazing hot so we didn't stay for very long.

Some of the looks she gives me and Cory are priceless!
We rode the train and saw some animals. After the few rides we came to a big water fountain that everyone was cooling off in. Winter loved watching everyone running around and the water splashing up more than anything else in the park.

Midnight surprise
Winter has been doing the strangest and funniest things lately. She makes us laugh everyday. One night after Cory and I had stayed up to watch some show on TV, we found a surprise waiting for us in our bed. I pulled back the covers to find Winter's two favorite toys laying in our spots, on our pillows.
I started laughing so hard. Cory asked me if I had seen her put them in our bed, "no, did you see her put them there?" We both couldn't believe our silly little girl. A Pablo friend for Cory and an Austin friend for me. Ha ha ha ha ha!

It's a BOY!!
Even though it is early, we are happy to announce we are having a BOY! After going through 3 other midwives that just were not for us, I think we have found a winner. She is so good, she was able to get several good looks at a little triangle shape between two little legs. She assured us "those are not girl parts." It's a BOY! And he is a big boy so far, being a whole week ahead in size and measurements.
With zero names that make us think "yes, that is our son's name," we are on the search for the perfect boys name.
