Ledger Kefford Jones

Born December 30, 2008, we named him Ledger Kefford Jones. Ledger was a name I thought of awhile back and over the past months seemed to fit more and more. I've called him Jonesy for months now and I think the nick name has stuck, Winter still refers to him as baby Jonesy. Kefford is Cory's first name, Grandpa Jones' first name, and a really great name to pass along overall.

The birth story isn't too exciting. Everything seemed to go really slowly, especially because everyone had suck high expectations of me pushing out a baby in just a few hours. My midwife broke my water in the morning and then I walked around the hospital for three hours without much progress. Then I decided to let them put some pitocin in my IV. With regular contractions now coming every 3-4 minutes I asked for my epidural. I had to wait for more than an hour because all the people I needed to be in the room were everywhere but. The poor girl in the room next to me was balling and her epidural needed to have hers replaced. 2 light headed episodes and 2 hours later Ledger came out into the world with an easy 1 1/2 pushes.
