Jonesy Smiles!

And he's done smiling for the camera.

Ledger learns to climb stairs

Seriously, I am shocked at how fast children learn things and even more so how fast my kids pick up their gross motor skills! Ledger who recently learned to scoot/crawl across the floor is now trying to climb stairs.

If we hadn't been watching and if we hadn't stopped him, I am positive he would have scaled at least the first step.

Winter and her mommy!

I love my girl!!

Great Neighbor Hood

So for the first time in our many moves here in Utah, finally I feel like I could call this place home. Farmington has really gotten me to picture being here for the rest of our days. I am terribly homesick for Virginia, but at last, now that I have a trip planned for September, I am no longer thinking about that as "home." Part of what makes Farmington a great place to call home is it reminds me so much of where I grew up in Reston. One of the best parts of Reston is all the fun things that happen there. This past weekend our neighbor hood did something I never knew people did. We had a neighbor hood parade.
All the kids are invited to particpate. They decorate their bikes and stollers and then with police escort and all, we walk down the street. The girls in the jeep behind Cory and the kids are throwing candy. After the parade, that leads down to the park, we all ate snow cones.
These little girls were keeping us all cool.
Winter and Ledger switched straws several times.
When in the cart, Ledger rides in his bumbo chair. Our bishop made some contraption that shot soda bottles up in the air. It was a BIG hit with the kids. Yep, it's a great neighbor hood with lots of wonderful people. Everyone except the crazy Jones' with that goat of theirs :)
Meet Cheerio, our Nigerian Dwarf red bearded goat. Hopefully she is pregnant and will have babies soon.

Jackson Hole, WY

The nicest weather we had on our trip was actually for our drive home when the sun finally broke through the clouds.

Over cast does make the mountains pretty. These are the Grand Teton Mountains. The clouds hide their awesome height.

There are little homesteads all around the area.

Ledger and Winter LOVED camping. Winter is a creature of habit when it comes to bed time, but on this trip she did great with whatever came her way. She couldn't get enough of sleeping in a sleeping bag. She was a good sport about the rain too. True to form I think Ledger did great too. Snug as a bug in a rug!
