Winter's 3rd Birthday

For Winter's 3rd Birthday we did A LOT! It was Baby Animal Days down in Salt Lake so we headed down in the morning. Winter loves horses and got to go on a pony ride which she smiled and giggled through the whole thing.

They had lots of animals we could get up close and personal with. Cory and Ledger held a baby duck.

Winter liked holding a fuzzy little white bunny.

This goat was being naughty and trying to get into the bunny cages. He nibbled at Winter's clothes a little too.

Little lambs are super cute. These ones were so young they hadn't even had their tails clipped yet.

Winter did very well at holding the chicks gently but enclosed enough not to let them get away.

We had a little private party, just the four of us, at our house. Actually no one showed up for the cake and ice cream part of our celebration. Cory's sister Tera and her kids came shortly after though. Winter asked for an Ariel the Little Mermaid cake and I had it all planned for her, but the Baskin Robbins blew it. So no princess cake, but a garden cake fit for a princess instead. After cake we went to Kangaroo Zoo.

After such a long day Winter completely cashed out on Cory as he mowed the lawn with her on his back.It was a good day. HAPPY BIRTHDAY WINTER!!

Robins

We are sooo lucky! A momma Robin has chosen Ledger's window to build a nest just outside of it. No need to climb a tree you might fall out of, we've got one in a perfect spot. She wasn't very happy about me taking pictures of her eggs so she went to go get a worm or something. Now the blinds are down and we spy on them all the time. I wonder what a momma bird thinks about while she sits there all day.
There are actually four Robin's eggs in this nest.

JONESIN

I officially had to retire my CHARLIY plates. After 10 years of Virginia plates I was forced to register my car in Utah. Not really willing to be anonymous I have embraced my married last name and now we-are-JONESIN.So the next time you see a green Ford Escape driving like some crazy Virginian, you'll know it's us. New tags, same drivers.

5 mile prep

Cory is preparing for the St. George Marathon in October. He has set up a schedule to meet his goal and Saturdays are his long runs.Only in Utah can you choose some random trail and have this beautiful of a view while you run. Look at the horses and that mountain landscape! The kids and I followed behind on the bike.

5 miles now, 26 in October. Cory's co-worker Steve is also training for the marathon. They plan to keep each other going by training together.

5 years together!

Five years may seem like a long time by Hollywood standards, but it is only the beginning for us. The first five years of our marriage have flown by.

For our anniversary we had a hard time deciding what to do. I made the plan, Cory bought a gift and in the end we had a great time and this years anniversary will not be forgotten.

Ledger high up in the Sultan's bed and loving it.

Sleeping upon elephant's backs was about as comfortable as you would imagine. Actually if Ledger hadn't been taking up half of the bed, it would have been fine.

The shower was a dragon. The theme of Sultan's Palace was very well done and we enjoyed it.

This was our view at dinner.

We had dinner at The Garden in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Because is was a warm spring night they opened the roof.

This is my beautiful new bracelet from Cory. It has five amazing fresh water pearls for our five years of marriage. I am not sure want the four diamonds are going to be for ;) It was a great time. My gift to Cory was a salon hair cut. I'll get a picture up of his HOT new cut soon.
