He obviously is experiencing some sort of trauma.
This happens several times a day at our house. Gotta love the 2's!

Oh Why isn't Halloween a Winter Holiday?!
Winter has been in love with Halloween this year. So far we have made paper bats, witches, vampires, pumpkins, and a milk jug skeleton. Everyday she wants to do something else to celebrate Halloween. This night she dressed herself up like a frog using my toe socks and her bathing suit.

Looks pretty good, huh?!

Winter doesn't want a little brother or sister
Winter: What is that thing on the side of the motorcycle where the kids can ride?
Me: A side car
Winter: Mom can we get a motorcycle?
Me: Why do you want a motorcycle?
Winter: So me and Ledger can ride in the side car.
Me: Oh so we need a side car too?
Winter: Yep!
Me: Go tell Dad you want a motorcycle
2 minutes later
Winter: Dad said to ask you if we can get a motorcycle...
Me: We can't afford to get a motorcycle
Winter: Why not, why can't we go to the store and get one?
Me: Because mommy and daddy don't have money for a motorcycle.
Winter: Why don't you go get more money
Me: Sure I will just go out back and pick some more off the money tree
Blank stare from my child and obvious annoyance at my lack of seriousness
Me: Mommy and daddy only make so much money each month and right now we are saving up for another baby to add to our family. Aren't you excited for a new baby brother or sister? Isn't that way better than a motorcycle?
Winter: Well, how about we get a motorcycle and side-car instead of a baby?
Me: You don't want to be a big sister again?
Winter: How about we get a motorcycle first?
Me: A side car

Discovery Place
Working with apples
Slow down, watch out! Crazy driver!
One of the areas is a hospital room/ doctors office. Winter got Gigi to give her the grand ride in a real wheel chair.
Ledger is no fool. He wanted to ride too.
Dr. Jones (doctor jones doctor jones, anyone else a fan of indiana jones?) taking care of her baby doll.
Fun with mirrors.
I liked the mirrors.
Go baby go!
My little monkey is a good climber. Always has been.
Physics 101
Turns out it is harder to build your own roller coaster than one might think. Too fast around a loop too soon and the ball goes flying off the track. Not enough speed after the middle and you'll never get around the next bend.
We tried not to let Ledger work while he was on vacation, but you know him, little workaholic.

The Island - St. George's Island, Maryland
This is the Island. It has been in my family for something like 40+ years. Might be like 50 or 60+ years. My grandfather bought the property and now my father and his sister own it together.

My aunt Betsy is a great grandmother to her own grandchildren and was a great grand aunt to our kids. Winter and her went on a treasure hunt down the clam side of the beach. They very much enjoyed their time together.
Our family property is the point of the island. As such it get battered from both sides of two rivers. There creates with rocks in them have had to be added to keep the point from washing away.
The point use to be an old navy look out. This tower has been here since at least WWI. It is the home to an endangered Osprey bird.

There's Ledger running for the water again. This ended up being his swim suite for the trip. Mostly because he was in the water before we could get it off of him.
And it is only far that in PA Winter went in her unddies that Ledger should get to free ball it at the beach. (Sorry I know that is not an appropriate term, but it is what it is)
I want to blow this one up and frame it!
Hey look, that's me!
That's my daddy. He is quite the fisher man. This day he caught a puffer fish.
BIG CAST
To do well fishing here you use blood worms. Pretty gross so a little clean up is needed sometimes.
Ledger partially clothed. We're getting there.
Jelly fish!
Ahhh, deep breath and relax, you are at the Island.
Paradise to be sure
Good sand to be played in. This is my nephew Cameron Richard Dutton.
This was how Cory's kept himself and the kids entertained. Long, long ago, him and a few of his friends built a similar beast on a Florida beach. He has a picture of that one too :)

Ledger was in love with the lawn mower. And look! HE'S CLOTHED
The girl got in on the lawn mower action too. Kayleigh my niece, helped Ledger get around.
