So you got a little wind ay?

Upwards of 100mph winds whipped through Farmington and the surrounding areas of Utah on December 1st. This is what our house looks like with a tree on it.

It was pretty scary and I had to keep the kids away from the windows until it finally died down. The tree falling wasn't that bad but it does make for a good story. After all is said and done, this was actually a good things for us. Now insurance will replace the roof that need to be replaced and the tree that Cory was going to cut down is now down and gone.

The saddest face in the world

Cabott

Two months old already.
At his well child check-up he was 12.2 lbs and 23.75 inches. That means he has gained more than 4 lbs and grown more than 4 inches! Go baby go! As you can see from the above photo, he has a very expressive face. He is now smiling and 'communicating' with us in a wonderfully interactive manner.

I coo, he coos, I smile, he smiles, I pretend to cry, he bursts into tears, I smile, he looks confused.

 Whoa, what's going on here, I'm sitting up all by myself.

 Greedy little man. His cheeks are so squishy I just want to eat them!

 Gaa-ooo

The nights are still hard right now. Waking up to this smile in the morning makes it more than worth it.

Plug it out

Plug it in .... plug it out, totally makes sense. That is how it should be. This was Ledger's first independent thought of how things work. 

Winter's when she was younger was upside up. Again completely correct and how it should be. If it is upside down then when you turn it over it is upside up.

They make me smile everyday. So smart!

Linus

Had we known then what we know now, we would have named him Linus.

He is only two for such a short while. Someday he will be too old to carry around a soft blue blanket and too big to suck his thumb. I might cry when my lover muffin realizes he is too grown up for those things...he might realize he is too grown up for me.

I act-in cay zee

Because children say the funniest things and I want to try to remember them someday, I am going to record them more here on the blog.

A few days ago Ledger, Cabott and I went to visit Cory at work. On the way there in the back seat Ledger kept banging his foot down on the door. BANG BANG BANG "what are you doing?" I asked him.

"I act-in cay zee!" I burst out laughing and then he fake laughed with me. "Ha ha ha dats so funny mommy."

Here he is sleeping in our bed. He was told to go get in his bed for a nap but instead crawled in next to a sleeping Cory and was fast asleep before I could object. My sweet sweet boy. I just love his pink lips and long eyelashes. Cory's grandfather has the nick name of pretty boy...I think Ledger is our pretty boy.
