Conversation with Winter age 4

I love that she is holding the bowl with her feet :)

Winter: What's for lunch?
Me: What do you want for lunch?
Winter: a HOT DOG!!
Me: ok... what else do you want with it? fruit of vegetable?
Winter: a BROWNIE!!
Me: that's neither a fruit nor a vegetable
Winter: what's a fruit nor?
Me: ha ha what else to do want with your hot dog?
Winter: why is it a hot dog?
Me: what do you mean?
Winter: well, its cold right now, so it's not hot. is it dog? (I almost literally saw the light turn on in her head) MOM WHOSE DOG ARE WE EATING?!
Me: ha ha no it's not dog meat, you aren't eating anyone's dog
Winter: then what is it?
Me: pig, pork mostly, you know yummy piggy meat
Winter: does it come from their tummies?
Me: hot dogs come from all the left over parts after pork chops, bacon, sausage...
Winter: bacon comes from their bellies!
Me: how do you know that?
Winter: daddy told me
Me: your daddy sure is smart
Winter: yep he sure is...but not as smart as you mommy!

I gave her two brownies for desert :)

Winter's Christmas Songs

Winter was very excited that we came to see her sing at school.
She happens to have a really great teacher and we both adore Ms. Sherrie!
Winter was so very excited to see Santa. He called Mrs. Clause while he was in their classroom so each of them could remind her what they had put on their Christmas list.

Then they all got candy canes, and so did all the children in the audience.
This is the "can I eat it now?" look they all gave their parents :)
She did a great job singing all the holiday songs. Since then she has also learned several off of the radio. Her favorite is Let it snow, and she knows ALL the verses.

Jones Look-alike Meter

Just like Winter's.

First real snow 2010

Winter LOVES loves loves the snow! She was in our room bright and early this morning. When I opened my eyes she was right in front of my face and wispers "mommy it's snowing!" Her whole face was smiling a huge grin. So before we even ate breakfast we all got suited up and went out to play.

Winter put Cory to work right away. She wanted an igloo. She got a snow cave, but close enough :)

Ledger and I tried to get a family photo, but turns out the other two were busy. We had fun taking a couple. Ledger has no idea how to smile for the camera so most of his photos look like this.
Winter was all decked out! She even had my ski goggles on.

The snow cave wasn't very big but the dogs thought is was neat, especially after they realized we threw treats in there for them :)

Dog bum!

We had a great time play in the snow!
